During the 2021 fall season, Matters led the Raiders to a 23-8 record that included an eight-match and 22-set win streak from October 3 – October 22 and upset wins over Michigan State and Dayton on the road. Four Wright State athletes earned post-season conference honors and libero Jenna Story earned AVCA Northeast Region Honorable Mention honors for the third-consecutive year under Matters’ direction. At the conclusion of the 2021 season, the Raiders led the NCAA in both digs (2,355) and digs per set (19.62).

In April 2021, following the 2020 season that was postponed to the spring of 2021, Matters was named the AVCA Northeast Region Coach of the Year. After receiving the award, Matters went on to lead Wright State to its first – and the Horizon League’s first – NCAA win, sweeping Samford in three sets in the opening round before falling to eventual national runner-up Texas in the second round.

The spring 2021 Raiders were undefeated in Horizon League play, going 14-0 during the regular season with 11 three-set matches and their lone loss coming in five sets to crosstown foe Dayton, another 2021 NCAA Championship qualifier.

In 2019, Matters led the Raiders to a 24-4 regular season record, winning 20 or more matches for just the seventh time in the program’s Division I era, on the way to their first Horizon League regular season championship in program history and an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship – the first at-large NCAA Tournament bid in the history of the athletics department. Matters was named the 2019 Horizon League Coach of the Year and later earned recognition on VolleyballMag.com’s Under 40 Coaching Hotshots list in January 2020.

Wright State finished a perfect 11-0 at home inside McLin Gymnasium in 2019 and had a 16-game winning streak from August 31-October 9, which was the longest streak in the NCAA during the run. In her first campaign in 2018, Matters led Wright State to a 15-14 overall record, its first .500 or better season since 2003, while finishing with seven Horizon League wins, the most for the program since 2008, as the Raiders qualified for the Horizon League Tournament for the first time in 10 years.

Prior to serving as the head coach at Wright State, Matters spent seven seasons as the top assistant at her alma mater, Seton Hall. While at Seton Hall, she helped coach the Pirates to their most successful season in program history in 2014, culminating with the program’s first ever berth in the NCAA Tournament. Matters and head coach Allison Yaeger were also named Big East Coaching Staff of the Year. Under Matters’ tutelage, libero protégés, Alyssa Warren and Tessa Fournier combined to be named Big East Libero of the Year five times.

A Buffalo, NY native, Matters played at Seton Hall from 2006-09, racking up numerous records and leading the Pirates to their first Big East Championship appearance in 15 years as a senior. A two-time All-Big East Second-Team selection, Matters recorded double-digit digs in the final 68 matches of her career with the Pirates - the nation’s longest active streak at the end of the 2009 season.

Prior to returning to Seton Hall as assistant coach, Matters was at Canisius for two seasons in the same role.

DePauw graduated from Clarke University in 2017, where he was four-year starting setter and two-time captain for the men’s volleyball program. He finished his career at Clarke second all-time for career assists with 3,957 and eighth all-time for career digs with 713.

During his undergraduate career, DePauw was a women’s volleyball volunteer student coach at Clarke University and a member of the coaching staffs for multiple Wahlert Catholic High School volleyball teams. In his role at Wahlert, he helped guide the program to back-to-back state titles in 2016 and 2017.

In 2020, DePauw earned his Master of Science in General Administration from Central Michigan.

In his role as Director of Operations, Becker controlled the day-to-day operations for the volleyball team, including serving as a liaison to athletic department officials. In 2018, the Panthers won their second consecutive ACC Championship title and made their third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. Pitt earned its highest single-season winning percentage in program history (.938), marking their most wins in a season since 1990 (30-2), and posted its highest ACC season winning percentage in program history (.944, 17-1).

Prior to joining the staff at Pitt, Becker was the head coach of the Pacific Coast Volleyball Club from 2014-16. In that role, he headed the Pacific Coast Volleyball Club 18U team, creating practice plans and game strategies along with teaching fundamental skills. He also helped mentor multiple players who signed to continue their careers at surrounding area colleges. He also served as the Delta Valley Volleyball Club head coach from 2013-14, leading the 18U team to a Gold Division finish in northern California.

During that same period, Becker worked in the development department at the University of the Pacific. From 2013-15, he was the Coordinator of Athletics Development and conducted prospect visits and worked closely with volunteers to successfully improve the Pacific Athletic Foundation (PAF) Drive. From there, he became the Annual Giving manager from 2015-2016 where he assisted with management of the PAF, leading volunteer engagement for athletic fund drives and enhancing donor relations. He also managed annual and campaign business plans and activities to achieve annual giving fundraising goals.
    
A native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Becker was a standout collegiate student-athlete at Springfield College from 2009-2013. His teams won three Division III NCAA Championships in 2010, 2012 and 2013 while concluding 2011 as the national runner-up. Voted as the team MVP during the 2013 NCAA Championship run, Becker played under highly-decorated USA and NCAA volleyball coach, Charlie Sullivan. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in sport management from Springfield College in 2013 and a Master of Science in athletic administration from University of the Pacific in 2016.

Siefken has also served an internship with Western Illinois’ marketing and external relations staff, where she helped promote athletics events through various channels, including social media. She has also interned with the Illinois High School Association, where she proposed and evaluated revenue-generating methods.

Siefken was a two-sport athlete at her alma mater of Monmouth College, starring for the school’s basketball and softball teams. Siefken earned Academic All-Midwest Conference honors in both sports, earned NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete honors as a member of the softball team, and was named to the dean’s list all four years. She also served as an assistant to the volleyball coach at Monmouth, helping with team operations during the offseason.

A native of Burlington, Iowa, Siefken earned a bachelor’s degree from Monmouth College in exercise science and business, before receiving her master's degree in sport management from Illinois State in 2018.
